Registration
Pursuant to Maine Bar Rule 4, every attorney admitted to practice in this State, unless otherwise exempted, shall annually file a registration statement with the Board. Online registration opens on July 1st and must be completed by August 31st. All active attorneys and judges must complete the annual registration online. Failure to to do so will result in the assessment of a non-waivable $50 late fee assessment.
To ensure receipt of the registration notice, attorneys must keep their address and e-mail address current with the Board. To notify the Board of an address or e-mail address change, attorneys should complete the Change of Address Form. Once completed, the completed form will automatically be sent to the Board's registration staff.
Frequently asked questions regarding the annual registration process may be found on the Board's website (see sidebar). Should you require additional assistance, please contact the Board's registration staff at board@mebaroverseers.org or by calling 207-623-1121.
